Joe Siracusa

Principal
Founder and principal Joe Siracusa is a solicitor who has held senior legal positions with national law firms in Canberra, Brisbane and Sydney, as well as with the Queensland Department of Justice and Attorney-General, receiving an Australia Day Achievement Medallion for his work with that department. Before establishing Siracusa Legal, Joe was a partner in a Brisbane-based commercial law firm. Joe was first admitted as a lawyer in 1995. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
In these roles Joe gained experience acting for a wide range of clients, including Australian and foreign companies, Commonwealth, Queensland and New South Wales government departments and agencies, universities and not-for-profit organisations. He has also acted as in-house counsel, on secondment, to a leading Australian telecommunications company and to a major Queensland energy company.
Joe is the deputy chair of the Queensland Law Society's Ethics Committee, a member of the Advisory Council of the Centre for Public, International and Comparative Law at The University of Queensland, a member of the Queensland Council of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand (IPSANZ). 
Joe has also been a sessional academic in law at the Queensland University of Technology, The University of Queensland and Griffith University.
